Craft illustration is a bit more complicated then just digital – let's see, how it works!

Step 1 → Share your idea Send a concept or a campaign brief — whatever best describes your vision. We can also hop on a call to talk through the project before anything is confirmed.

Step 2 → We agree on terms We define the scope, usage, timeline, and licence — and confirm everything in writing before the project starts.

Step 3 → Creation, start to finish

3.1 — Research & sketches I research the subject and prepare digital sketches of the future piece. We review them together and refine as needed.

3.2 — Sculpting the object I sculpt the piece in plasticine. For larger or more complex works, I sometimes build a smaller-scale model first — to test proportions and give you a clear sense of how the final size will read. While sculpting, I usually share process updates so you can see how the piece is taking shape.

3.3 — Photography Once the object is complete, I photograph it.

3.4 — Retouching Plasticine craft illustration always requires retouching. For some projects, several photographs are composited into a single final image.

From sketches to hand-sculpting, photography, and retouching — every stage is shared for feedback and approval, so the artwork develops in line with your vision.

Step 4 → Final delivery You receive the finished high-resolution RGB artwork, photographed and retouched — ready for adaptation by your design or production team.

Step 5 → When the project goes live Once the work is published or released, I’m happy to support with a behind-the-scenes post — sharing parts of the process, photos, or video if desired.
